Tread the Medfari Kickoff 2013

School of Medicine employees danced their way into a new session of Tread the Med with West African music and dance from Kreative Pandemonium at the August 8 kickoff event

Despite a summer downpour, School of Medicine employees danced their way into a new session of Tread the Med with West African music and dance from Kreative Pandemonium at the August 8 kickoff event.

Tread the Med is a 100-day wellness program that encourages participants to take 10,000 steps per day. At the Medfari kickoff event, participants won attendance prizes and Dr. Jim Crane recognized the winning walkers and teams of the previous Tread the Med session.

Washington University School of Medicine‘s 2,100 employed and volunteer faculty physicians also are the medical staff of Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children’s hospitals. The School of Medicine is one of the leading medical research, teaching and patient-care institutions in the nation, currently ranked sixth in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Through its affiliations with Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children’s hospitals, the School of Medicine is linked to BJC HealthCare.
