In 2014 Patrick Geraghty, MD, was appointed chair of the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) Outcomes and Technology Assessment Committee.
In collaboration with the Federal Drug Administration, the committee focuses on the evaluation of new vascular devices and assessing outcomes of vascular therapies. Geraghty has previously led multicenter trials for lower extremity endovascular devices.
Former Department of Surgery chief Gregorio Sicard, MD, FACS, also has served as committee chair.
