Cheryl Marie Mueller, clinical administrator in the Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, died Dec. 17, 2015, after a 12-year battle with cancer. She was 52.
Mueller joined the School of Medicine in 1998 as a technologist, measuring bone mineral density. As she took on more responsibility, Mueller was promoted from radiological technologist to imaging supervisor to the division’s clinical administrator in 2014.
“Through all these years in our division, Cheryl has been a model of integrity, loyalty and dedication,” said Roberto Civitelli, MD, the Sydney M. & Stella H. Schoenberg Professor of Medicine and director of the Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases. “She saw her role in our group almost as a calling rather than a job, and I am immensely proud to have had the opportunity to work with Cheryl for all of these years. We will greatly miss her.”
Mueller earned her radiology technologist degree from St. Louis Community College at Forest Park in 1983.
She is survived by her husband, Scott; children, Andrew, Dustin (Sarah) and Christina Mueller; parents, Frank and Carole Falleri; brothers, Frank (Holly), Joe (Elizabeth) and Tim (Marianne) Falleri; and sister, Tina (Scott) Price.
A memorial visitation was held Dec. 23 at Kutis Funeral Home in Mehlville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
