MLA 98 Symposium:

Impact of Genomics on 21st Century Medicine

Leah H. Anderson, M.L.S.

Leah H. Anderson is the solo Research Librarian at the biotechnology
firm DNAX.  DNAX is owned by the pharmaceutical company
Schering-Plough and focuses on basic scientific research rather than
drug development.  Both firms are heavily involved in genomics
research.  Ms. Anderson instructs DNAX staff in the use of the
National Library of Medicine's PubMed system, and provides assistance
in searching the Entrez search system and associated databases from
the National Center for Biotechnology Information.  She is the team
leader for the DNAX corporate intranet with control over the majority
of site content.  Ms. Anderson received her M.L.S. from the University
of Toronto in 1992 and spent one year in the Associate Program at the
National Library of Medicine.
